We organized a meet in Düsseldorf, Germany for the Weekend of 17 - 19 August.

It started with a mere mention of a possibility on Facebook and so far we have 12 confirmed attendees (is that the correct word? )

Attending so far:

Guinea Pig and DuQues
Zypresse and SO
Jose Amsterdam
Tabs
Katydownunder

and 6 others that are either not on the forum or I have NO idea what their forum names are!

Probably attending:

Madach and SO

and again some others that are on the forums but I have no idea what their forum names are!

Point is - ALL ARE WELCOME!!!

Whether we know you or not, whether we always see eye to eye on everything, we don't care. We want to meet new people and they ARE out there.

If you're able to make your way to Düsseldorf and want to join us on any of the dates during the weekend of 17 to 19 August, let us know, and we'll post the details here.

Would really love to and I am not saying a definite no but at this moment in time it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it this one.

can .... Are there any campsite near as we have a touring caravan? how cool
would that be to meet some of you folks, as it seems it all happens in SA. As I
say would love to attend but not sure if viable

have a look here: Camping. The best is definitely the last one on the list Parking for campers in Düsseldorf - Unteres Rheinwerft/Tonhallenufer, without any utilities, but in the heart of the city, close to famous "Altstadt" and directly on the banks of the Rhine river.

I'm going to see how many km from Lausanne.... to Düsseldorf and how many time (by train)
a lot of people I have envy to meet or meet again

We also cannot make it, as we will be from holidays from 18.08.12 onwards for two weeks in Denmark

So enjoy it and let us all know about it

So far 14 have confirmed they will attend the meet.

This will be the first meet in Europe in quite a while, so we're also inviting members of another wildlife forum to join. We even have somebody from Israel coming all the way. It is getting a bit bigger than we initially bargained on when you add the SO's to the confirmed attendees.

But a great way to meet all those names on a forum and Facebook.
