Flying Cheetah's wasp could be a Synagris analis.

I think that Kjii"s first picture is a Sunflower seed bug. Agonoscelis versicoloratus. Very pretty little thing, but can be a pest if you grow sunflowers.

Need some help with this tiny little bug. I've nicknamed it the 'echidna bug', but i'm hoping for something better!

There's nothing like it any of my reference books.

Seen on the banks of the Limpopo River, north of Alldays.

Any ideas?

Does anyone have any idea what these insects might be? They appear to be mating? Flies of some sort, perhaps? Seen at Cape Point near Venus Pool in September 2011.

They certainly look like flies. Do we not have any entomologists on this forum that could help?

Forgot: They were seen north of Letaba. The first at S93, the second at S94.

Can anyone help with an ID for this insect — possibly some sort of grasshopper? :hmz: Seen at night on the door netting of my safari tent at Punda Maria, 16 April 2012.

Arks, I'm struggling to see detail clearly from the photo, but if it was wingless, my best guess would be a bush grasshopper species. I'm no entomologist - maybe we need to find who is on these forums? - but, from my reference books, that seems the most likely.
