Mokala's greatest place to be is Haak & Steek with his Waterhole and Wildlife. 8)

We only stayed 1 night at mosu lodge but we will be back again. The only negative thing i can say about mokala is the fack that you have to carry all your luggage to your bungalow. Only parking area is at reception. They do have a trolly but when you leave at 6 am you dont want to wake people up with that noise of the sqeecking wheels so then you end up walking 6 times with all your luggage. But all round very nice place with very friendly staff. Well done mokala.

Haak en Steek camp. One can camp here for R95 a night. There is no electricity and the camp is not fenced. Another camp perfect for those who love to really get away from it all.

This camp is situated on a waterhole.

There is a picnic site in the park – unfenced, wild, and basic ... but it does have a loo. Take chairs (there are benches provided, but not ones to encourage a long comfy sit) and take tables ... no tables are provided. Braai areas are.

The birdhide is lovely – and one is entertained all the while there with antelope coming down to drink and very active birdlife.

We returned home from Mokala on Sunday after spending 8 nigths at Motswedi Camping site. This was our first visit and definitely worth a visit. We enjoyed our stay and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful  What we really enjoyed was the venison pie (which is a rare find in Kruger lately) and which was reasonably priced. We could even purchase some frozen pies to bring home with us :D In general all the meals were reasonable price and were of a high standard.
We travelled on all the roads in the park and eventually managed to see the local rhino Friday afternoon and again Saturday morning, even though they were a distance from the road.
We saw various wildlife at the camps water hole and even had a rather close visit from the local dagga boys.
We will definitely visit this park again in the future.

Angiek sounds like you had a wonderful time. Thanks for reminding us about this small jewel.
