Just finished Wildflower by Mark Seal. It documents the life and murder of Joan Root, well known for the fabulous wildlife films she made with her husband Alan Root and for championing the cause of conservation in Kenya, which may have lead to her death. The first part is fabulous, all about the Roots' life in the wild and some of the madcap exploits Alan used to get up to, with Joan as his unflappable rock. The second half is less exciting and rather sad, but an interesting window onto Joan's later life and death.
