cheetah, is this the same thing that shows on facebook what's been spotted where. (wildlife sightings or something like that??)

Ossy - as we speak Gunner is adding you We will see when I go to satara in December if it helps I'm not gonna chase updated sightings. But it helps you know when you arrive which roads are pumping!
I'm especially looking out which roads have reported sightings of cheetah! In the satara area, over the last couple of months, cheetah has been spotted on the H1-3 near Tsoks mostly. once on the s33, and once on the H7.

@Wildest - no it is't the same Its a network of Blackberry groups. You send BB messages to your contact (myn is Gunner). They broadcast everyone's sightings to all the members

@Cheetah this is the facebook thing i was talking about. https://www.facebook.com/WildlifeSightings. It is updated mostly through twitter/ blackberry. That's why i was thinking it could be the same.

Kruger report 3/10/11 » 3 Ngala (Lions (male + 2 Lionesses)) STA on the H4-1 NE of Skukuza just before the H12 (Visual 9/10)

what does the STA & OTM mean? stationary & on the move?
and what does the visual 9/10 mean?

STA = stationary
OTM = On the move
The visual rating is out of 10.
10/10 means in the road. The visual is perfect
1/10 is one of those where like a leopard's ear is sticking out of the grass some distance from the road!
So people rate how easy it is to see the animal so people can calculate if they think it is worth going to that sighting

Leopard walking in the road on the H1-4. 3km South of the S89 turn off.

today at 06:10
CHEETAH on the s140 just off of the s106!
Its about time another cheetah sighting!

Today ...

2 lions stationary on the H1-4, 8km North of Satara.
Visual 8/10

You know, even though I'm not there right now i still love listening to all the sighting and imagining I was there.

3. 10 lion cubs on the s100
