Just to let you know I'm planning an exciting UK FORUM MEET.

Thinking about August time...that gives us enough time to recover from the Euromeet

Cant tell you just yet what I have in mind but I do have a Plan B if its not possible.
However, please feel free to share any ideas/thoughts for the meet ....every little bit helps.

Time to get down to planning the UK meet now that another successful Euromeet is behind us.
September seems a bit soon for some forumites so thinking of making it a bit later in the year - looking at October/November.
Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Evening:- great meal with great company....venue to be decided

Please let me have your thoughts on this - asap as both the Duck Tour & the Lion King need booking in advance.

cost: Duck Tour £19/adult
Lion King from £23 - £69 - we can buy individual tickets for those who wish to pay a little more for their entertainment.

I had to leave early to get my flight home, so I abandoned them to the tender mercies of the ghosties and ghoulies in the catacombs under London Bridge

It was great to see old friends again and meet new ones. A pity the weather didn't co-operate - whenever we were under cover the rain stopped but as soon as we walked into the open it started raining again!

Never mind - the weather was incidental - a good time was being had by all when I abandoned ship - many many thanks to KampRunner for all the organisation.

Another UK-meeter reporting back to base camp...

Had a super time, in spite of spontaneously growing webbed feet. Thank you all for making the effort to be there!!
Special thanks to our hostess KampRunner - funny and crazy as always - guiding us through the dark (assisted by her SO in times of need ), and to Admin for her relentless thoughtfulness. Much appreciated!

Simon, the ghosties and ghoulies say "hi", and they let you get away with it, for now. But they insist you stay until the end next time. They'll even provide the ball and chain...

A BIG THANK YOU to Everybody for making the 3rd Annual UK Meet a great success in spite of the weather


It was wonderful meeting up with the 'golden oldies' once again as well as welcoming on board some newbies - JDW, UKbadger and SO it was a privelege to meet you guys and hope you continue to enjoy the Forum and Meets as much as we all do.

We All had a Wet and Wild time and I for one cant wait for the next Meet. The baton has been handed over to Saraf who is already planning next years event I also know that Jose has something 'up her sleeve' for Spring 2009

Made my job easy keeping track of the 'rowdy bunch'

Firstly may a give a huge Thank You to KampRunner - the day (and night) was fantabulous! It was a great meet with great company.

Secondly may I offer my apologies to all for bringing Brummie's luck along with me! Sorry about the weather guys - but it got me in the end - on the way home on Sunday our train was delayed for 30 minutes due to (yep, you guessed it) FLOODING just outside Coventry

Not to mention the Light-Sabres I didn't realise that Jose was so good at fencing (that's fencing - not making fences )
