I am sitting here reading a trip report,
when suddenly I have an interesting thought
Why do bushbabies make the sound they do.....
They make a sound? I never knew..
something to do with an ill fitting shoe

Early one morn at the crack of dawn

And one just for you dot ...

A daring young lady named Dot
said a fear of words I have not
She'd take a good line
find words that would rhyme
And that's how she got such a lot

Early one morn at the crack of dawn
up a tree I saw frogspawn
And oh what a sight
it gave me a fright
for underneath was a crocodiles yawn

Sorry couldn't resist

Young at heart we made up rhymes
of bells and whistles and tinkling chimes
of birds and bees
and butterflies knees
having joyful and happy times!!

I raise my glass to that ...
While at the fence of the camp I am sat
my binos are resting on my lap
and my camera is next to the map
and I've just been joined by a big cat!

And one for you Ray for starting this ....

A very good poet named Ray
wrote poems to brighten our day
In a world torn with strife
just to lighten our life
he always has nice things to say

Star rayb  Ok, I am continuing.

I was sat on the wrong side of the fence
Because I had no sense
along came a ranger
who told of the danger
And then I felt very dense

And the other one needs finishing still (this is such fun!) rayb

Life in the bush is sometimes cruel
Especially if you run out of fuel
Don't leave the car is what they say
If you want to live another day

There once was an Angel named Trish,
Who ate her pap and beans from a dish!
She could not find a spoon
And over there was a baboon
"may I feed him", she thought, "NO, I wish"!

At Skukuza, while watching the cricket
A wartie knocked over the wicket
The angels screamed 'Howzat'
And made WTM drop his bat
He also dropped his rock in a thicket.

Poor Laine was kidnapped by a mob
but being a brave Angel didn't sob
do with me what you will
I'm pretty sure you don't mean me ill
Please for supper just keep me a cob.
