I just use my name. Like I explained to some people in a chatroom, I'm not afraid of some weirdo on the net.
Shucks I might even welcome a stalker, if she's hot enough of course lol

Sometimes I might use Jomur, which is what my dad calls me sometimes. Jo short for Johann and mur, well that should be quite obvious for the Afrikaans people, anyway. Little family joke

My surname is Floyd, and have always been called Floydy since I can remember!

My name is Thorsten (from Scandinavia, it means Thor's Hammer ). A friend makes Toddel of this Name for a Nick. You see my avatar. The pic was made from my Exwife. It looks for me like an Elf (german Elfe). So i take it to my Nick.

Sometimes i wish i could fly, and be a hero. :-)

Got it from my wife one day I was being too clever for my own good... i.e you Clever Dog!

Sort of stuck with me since then in sort of a pet name way

My wife calls me scruffy because when I am at home I am most comfortable in an old pair of shorts and a t-shirt and hence look scruffy.

Loams has been my nickname since highschool. It's a derivitive of my name.

I used to call myself Eartherean on Africam. Which came from Loams Loam Earth Eartherean

But for now I am sticking with Loams

My nick needs a bit of explaining. The time before chatting or forumitis I watched TV and on BBC they had a program about gardeners. Once there was a old lady on who had a tiny garden next to a railway and it was full of plants and flowers. She talked about them all as if they were her children and the program ended when she took one plant inside and started drawing it. The cerinthe.
So when we got internet we were looking for SA based chatrooms and my son logged into one. He asked me what nick I would like to use and as I was paging through a dutch seed catalogue and was just looking at the 'cerinthe' I said I would like to use that.
The chatroom he logged into was africam.
In ordinary life I'm just a Johanna.

When my children were small, there was a song, "i'm a big brave mouse, I go walking round the house, and I'm not afraid of anything!"
I am actually very small, but sometimes have to do "big things" in my work.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. And then, that's what I sing.
I sometimes think the honey badger is my totem animal.

The 'Dinky' part is an affectionate nickname used by my really close family - and I love birds, encourage them to feed and nest in my garden.

I was also a great cam watcher on Africam but never joined the forums. Used to rush to my pc early each day, dial up and watch the Satara and Orpen cams.

I chose my alias because it actually is very revealing. The four letters are based on the Myers-Briggs personality type indicator. I have been using this tool to better understand people, relationships, conflict and decision making. Mostly, type-watching is fun and addictive...like the webcam!

Mine is just my name backwards!! Started doing it on Africam to confuse people as started chatting on Africam with my real name and it got boring.

This one has just stuck now!

I spend me first long holidays overseas in Australia and New Zealand ( stayed there for 6 months 1996/1997).
Beeing in OZ for the second time in 1999 I was in need for an email adress.
So I thought about katydownunder, it just fitted my situation (my name Katja was always too complicated for my fellow travellers anyway ).
I stick to that name ever since.I did use it on Africam ( as well as in other Forums related to Travel, Africa and Photography) ,but I always just had a look at the cam and have not been to the forum.

After falling in love with South Africa I always thought about a new name.But I think it is already too late for that.
Katydownunder is still me.

I use my name and avatar on several horse related forums in the UK and USA - - it is actully actually my pony's name Chanel and her pet name Ellie put together.

My mouse avatar is somehow symbolic of how I feel at times -

I have a passion for all of nature and am a guy, hence Naturesguy

I use the name Nico because everybody calls me Nico my whole life long, so I am used to it.
