I know I have many great pictures stored with some great memories of times in Kruger. I would love to see "your" favourite picture, and I am sure others would like to see as well.

I will start and I know Elsa will most proberly kill me for posting this picture, as I am sure it is very high on her list as well, but since I started the thread I am pulling rank

Image Larger view

This picture must represent the greatest moment in Kruger. She was seen on the S28 and we were the only car. She was totally relaxed and we spent at least fifteen minutes with her.

This is a very, very tough one!!! :hmz: :hmz: I have so many photos that i have taken in kruger that mean so much to me, but if i must choose one special one i think it would be the same as my avatar. There is just something aweinspiring and so unbeleivably amazing about a kruger sunset for me, so here is one of my favourites.( It also stands proudly in my bedroom blown up on canvas :) )

I really like your pic though jock!! especially seeings as a leopard is my favourite animal  Im still waiting to get my perfect pic of a leopard

I have seen some great scenes in my last 2 tips but one of the most thrilling was of mating lions north of Lower sabie in May. The crop was enforced, I had a fixed length lens and couldn't get further away.

It was a tough choice between that and meeting a lone young bull elephant on a gravel road just 5 yds in front of us, I did eventually get photos once he moved aside.

Just another 103 days til our next trip, If I could I would retire to the Kruger.

Oh! Good topic Jock!

And it friday evening so I have the whole weekend to think about all my photos... Why this one, why that one... Yes but that's a once in a lifetime!, yet it's not perfect, so how about... But on that one the light is just perfect!
My brain is spinning now... I do have a few in mind though...

Just 1 (one) choice?

No man...this is really difficult. There are so many pictures with a story and good memories.

But this one reminds me of so many good times and much more.

One tent...one chair...one table...one fire...one and only Mvubo.

Great topic Jock and stunning pics too.

Mine is not so much a stunning photo as much as what it means to me.

The impala is probably not rated when it comes to animal sightings....like the starlings for birders I guess. But I love this shot......all backsides walking away with one male looking at us. The lovely stripes, the early morning light....you can feel the serenity

Just goes to show there is beauty in everything........we just have to open our eyes.

You are right Rusky, they are beautiful and often forgotten. That is why I thought of this topic, one's favourite picture does not have to be an awesome shot, just one that you think is special. Thanks for the pictures so far, let's keep them coming.

Took me not too long actually, one photo kept popping into my head. Well... One photo? It's meant as one, but in actual fact it's 72 photos. That's how many photos it took to be able (a little) to show you the beauty of Kruger, this time the view from Tshanga lookout.

Click for a large version, it's a file of 1.5 Mb, so be patient if you don't have fast internet!
