Under the link "interact" (see top of this page) there is a button "Public Sightings". Here a census of cheetha & wild dog numbers conducted in February 2005 is discussed with a promise to keep it updated. Is there some more recent information / numbers available on cheethas and wild dogs ?

The census was for the period September 2004 – April 2005, I will however try and see if we can get updated information for you guys.

I managed to determine the 2009/10 census numbers for Kruger Park :
Cheetha 120 (2005=103)
Wild dogs 120 (2005=140)

By the way, the 2009/10 numbers for rhinos were :-
Black Rhino 590-670
White Rhino 9460-12120

These figures were taken from Kruger's Annual Report for 2009/10. I cannot find a copy of the 2010/11 Annual Report.

Found a copy of the 2010/11 Annual Report - unfortunately no numbers mentioned of cheetha, wild dogs or rhinos.

I have seen numbers in the annual reports as well, but I am sure they just use the same numbers for Cheetah/Wild Dog until the next census.

Any ideas when the next census would be?
